IU has established robust testing guidelines for graduates attending Commencement ceremonies this year. In order to ensure the health and safety of yourself and your fellow graduates, all students must test twice for COVID-19 in the week preceding their in-person Commencement ceremony. After you get your ticket, you will need to:
- Receive and report a negative COVID-19 test result collected 3-6 days before your ceremony. This test may be taken at your campus mitigation testing site (ONLY if you are eligible: currently enrolled or employed) or at an off-campus testing facility. Negative results must be submitted using this form by 5 pm, 2 days prior to your ceremony, if you do not test at your campus mitigation testing site.
- Receive a 2nd negative COVID-19 test result 1-2 days before your ceremony. This test must be taken at your campus mitigation testing site prior to the Commencement ceremony. You do not need to report your results.
Masks and physical distancing will be required for the duration of the ceremony.
NOTE: Anyone who tested positive for COVID-19 within 90 days prior to their ceremony or who is fully vaccinated (14 days after final dose) by the date of their ceremony will be exempt from these testing requirements. Your status must be on record with Indiana University. Please use this form to report documentation of your status below.
